Today was a rest day.

After breakfast we had tea and played cards in the garden.

Next we went for a walk in the village.

Then Duke decided to get a haircut.

While Duke and Roger were in the barber shop Gayle and I sat under a tree in the square.

First a wonderful 16 year old student stopped to talk. Her English was perfect! She said she was waiting for the school bus to take her home Her name is Ibtissam.

Lots of young kids were walking by us. There was lots of giggling and a few shy waves and bonjours. Then a group of boys came over to talk to us and suggested a picture.

Duke’s haircut took a long time but finally he was done. It looks good although it’s the shortest I have ever seen his hair.

We had another great dinner.

Looks like you had a perfect day. What fuels the economy in these little villages?

Good question. I’m not sure. I’ve wondered the same thing.

So fun to see the “locals” and know that want to communicate with you! The salad looks amazing and the entrees always seem interesting. Looks like the weather is beautiful!

Pam, thanks for the comment. The weather has been nice the last few days. It is nice to have sun and have it a bit warmer.
