Reno to Walnut Creek and Oakland

Yesterday Duke and I drove from Reno to Walnut Creek where we are staying with my daughter, Allison and her family. Allison works for Sunset Magazine so yesterday she and I toured the Sunset Idea House in the Oakland hills.

Every room had beautiful views and every level had a balcony.

I think I would be very happy living there!!

Allison and I went out to dinner at a Walnut Creek Spanish tapas restaurant last night and I  got to practice my Spanish a bit. I won’t promise food pictures in every blog post this trip but here is a chorizo and bacon stuffed pepper that tasted great.

Our granddaughter is almost 18 months old. It will be interesting to see how she has changed in nine weeks when we get back. Here are a couple pictures from today.

Tomorrow evening we fly out of San Francisco to Fort Lauderdale and then on to Quito.
