Ponatahi to Havelock North

New Zealand is beautiful! Everywhere we have been has been green. Today’s drive was more of the same.

When we arrived at Glendower Homestead last night it was very very dark and we couldn’t see anything of our surroundings. This morning we got to enjoy the beautiful location.

Today we drove further north to the town of Havelock North. About half way through our drive we stopped for brunch at a great little local coffee shop.

In addition to my meal I had a sausage roll. It reminded me of the sausage rolls we used to buy at the tuck shop when I attended Ascot State School in Brisbane.

While we were waiting for our food, a big group of riders on horses passed the coffee shop. Apparently they are riding from Hastings to Wellington to deliver a petition to the government.

Everything is so green here.

Tonight we are in a lovely little villa in Havelock North.
