Havelock North to Taupō

Today we continued farther north and west on New Zealand’s north island.

We stopped to stretch on the beach just north of Napier.
At another stop to stretch we had a view of Waipunga Falls
Tonight we are staying on a hilltop overlooking Lake Taupō.

Lake Taupo is New Zealand’s largest lake. It’s a little bit larger than Lake Tahoe.

For dinner we drove into town and ate at Steak House Taupō.
