Over the last two days we have made our way home to Reno. It was very smokey the whole way. Last night we spent the night in Elko. We had a great dinner at one of Elko’s Basque restaurants, The Star.
It was a great trip especially because we got to see so many family and friends.
This morning we visited the Wyoming State Capitol in Cheyenne. The Capitol was built in 1888. Between 2015 and 2019 the building went through a major renovation. Part of the renovation was restoring the historic finishes. We got to see the result. Although the capitol is a relatively small building I thought it was beautiful.

Today we visited the Nebraska State Capitol in Lincoln. It was completed in 1932. As you can see in the pictures it is a very different Capitol. The interior decorations were beautiful.

We are heading west towards home now. This morning we left my cousin’s house near St Paul and drove south to Ames, Iowa where I attended College at Iowa State. We walked around the campus a bit, walked through the memorial union and saw my sorority house.
