Istanbul Day 2

Happy Birthday Duke!!

Duke and I did the Golden Horn loop on the hop on hop off bus this morning. Afterwards we had lunch in a little shop in the bazaar.

They rolled out the pita and filled it with meat filling before cooking it in the pizza oven behind Dike.

Then we went shopping in the Spice Bazaar

and in the Grand Bazaar.
Duke is a fantastic negotiator. I think we got some good deals.

  2. Barb, we bought some ceramic tiles, a tablecloth, a box for my box collection and some gifts. What year were we in Turkey when we were kids? Was it 1966? Are there Turkey pictures in your book about that year?

  3. Yes to both questions, Marion. By looking at our old passports I could even find the exact dates! I really enjoyed using the internet to better identify the places in Istanbul that we visited.
