Korotogo, Day 2

Today was very much a rest and recuperate day. After our long days of traveling, this morning we walked down to Cafe Planet for breakfast. We each had a savory pie with our coffee. Every one is so friendly here as we walked along, even kids playing on the beach and later, some lady sweeping her front porch called out Bula Bula! (Hello!). You can’t help but smile.

We walked back to our villa, sat on the veranda, and read a bit, then drove into central Korotogo to the grocery store to buy some bottled water. While we were there we walked through the town market.

After lunch we again took long naps (jet lag you know!). Fiji is a practically perfect place to recover from jet lag! For dinner we went back to Beach Bar and Grill, where we had lunch yesterday. We both agreed that it is a restaurant in a class by itself. The flavors in their food are exceptional.

Duke had the snapper with prawns and I had the Pakapaka. They were each fantastic. Prices are in Fijian dollars.

After dinner we sat for a few minutes in the Crab Shack across the road looking out over the ocean before walking back to our villa.
