Puerto Madryn to Las Grutas

We are making our way north, back towards Buenos Aires. Today we drove three and a half hours north to the coastal town of Las Grutas.

The terrain was pretty much the same the whole way. We stopped to stretch a couple of times.

It’s been very windy along the coast for the last four days. It was windy when we arrived in Lass Grutas but a couple of hours later when we went out for a walk the wind had dropped and it was 77 degrees.

We had a great walk along the beach. The cliffs above the beach are full of burrows built by burrowing Parakeets. The birds are raucous and very loud. There are hundreds of them. It’s cool to watch them.

For dinner we walked a couple of blocks inland from the beach and had an excellent meal at Del Azul Bistro and Sushi Bar.

We both had Paella. It pronounced paecha here!
Then we shared a cheesecake with berries.
We had a fun time. The ambiance was great and the staff was wonderful.
