Buenos Aires to Rosario

This morning after breakfast we walked to the rental car office and picked up the car we will be driving for the next 5 weeks.

Then we drove north and west from Buenos Aires along the Paraná River to the town of Rosario. We had a bit of trouble finding our hotel. (We had to go around the block at least four times.) When we finally got checked in we immediately walked to the Rosario Board of Trade which is the Argentinian equivalent of the Chicago Board of Trade. We had a tour scheduled at 1:00. The tour was really interesting.

After our tour we went back to the hotel and played cards for the first time on this trip.

Buenos Aires Day 3

This morning we took an Uber to the airport to meet our travelling partners Brian and Jo Ann.

We arrived with time to spare so we had coffee while we waited.

After we met them we all took another Uber back to our hotel. Brian and Jo Ann checked in, and we all went to Petit Colón where we had breakfast yesterday so we could have some lunch.

Brian and Jo Ann had a three o’clock tour of the Buenos Aires Opera House. Duke and I have done that tour twice before so they went on their own. Duke and I went and changed some more cash.

On Florida Street this time Duke changed money at a liquor store.

In the evening we went to the tango show and dinner on the ground floor of our hotel. It was wonderful!
